Damsels hiding

hey guys, i had clowns and a tang but they all got either ich or velvet. so after they died i waited a month and i just put in 2 damsels to test the waters before i go with a trigger and lionfish. anyway, i put them in friday and now its sunday and they are still hiding in the rocks. is this normal?

Yes, they are probably scared or getting used to their new surroundings or something. One of my fish hid for a whole week before I saw it.

its weird to me because there are no other fish to be scared of!

They're in a totally new environment, completely different from whatever tank they were in before.
