Dead Fish

One of my Damsil's died and I can't find it. He was 1" long. How much of a N03 spike would it cause If I left him in?

If he's only 1" long and you have lots of crabs and scavengers then they'd probably eat it before there's a spike in the nitrates. If I put any meat in my tank, then my chocolate chip sea star is on the move in seconds.

Thats pretty small so it shouldnt effect anything.

It is always a good idea to try and figure out why your fish died though.

Did you cycle your tank with that fish or did you add him afterwards?
