Marble stars won't eat detritus. They'll tend to hang out on the glass and skim from the water.

I have the belief that nothing we buy does an adequate job at consuming detritus.The hitchhiker fauna that comes with live rock does a better job,worms,mini brittle seastars,pods.

oh man this is exactly what i was looking for... I bought an already semi-established system and i think the guy started his cycle with table shrimp or something because i have zero fauna that i didn't add to the tank. I'm really missing out on that diversity and something like this will help! sweet!
sure isn't cheep though.. 70 bucks plus 30 bucks shipping for a bag of tiny bugs haha
