Drip acclimation tool?

Does anyone know where I can find or make a drip acclimation tool that will avoid me from sucking (siphoning) with my mouth? I always get water on my lips and last time I got quite a lot and I think it made me sick.

So is there something for sale that can siphon itself and adjust flow? Or something I can make?

Fosters and smith sells an acclimation kit- its a 4 ft tube with a gate valve on the end. I've never gotten water in my mouth using it

You can get an air line valve to adjust the drip. As for the siphoning, you can get a longer piece of tubing so you can see when it is getting close.

you could fill the tube with tap water covering both ends then release it with one end in your tank and it will automatically siphon from gravity...

Yeah you really dont have to suck it that much just get it started and let gravity do the rest.

I just stick the end of the hose into the turkey baster I use for spot feeding. Squeeze the bulb and then release, One pump is usually enough to get the siphon started.
