dt's reef blend phytoplankton

i got this stuff at my lfs.and was wondering if anyone has used it.they said its good coral food , its what they use in there tanks.i wanted something to get my zoa's to grow.has anyone used this and has seen any change in growth.

I dont think zoas need food to grow they use the nutrients in the water and light. So make sure you have adequate lighting and a good reef salt.

It's a nice coral food...just try not to over do it, it can/will lead to higher nitrates and phosphates over time and eventually cause algae growth. But overall, your tank will love it.

We use it, and like it! We usually squirt a little in every few days. Just remember to refrigerate it and keep it shaken up.

the bottle says once every other day.im going to go once a week and see how that goes. i also got seachem trace.i think that will be good for the zoas.i dont run a skimmer so i think i should take my doses slowly.i dont run a skimmer because my water peram's are fine without one.i might add one if i see some change in water quality.ive never used any supplement because i use natural saltwater.

I think the DT should be fine to use without a skimmer. I used it in my biocube without problems. Like smitty said: just don't overdo it.
