eggs

Can someone tell me the diff between fish & snail eggs? I have a cluster of about 4 eggs on the side of the tank; I imagine it's either the eggs of my 2 damsels or my trochus snails'. They are oval & clear and have little white spots in them..

Snails usually leave their eggs in a zig zag pattern,and there'll be thousands of extremely tiny eggs.

Hmmm....I guess it could be the damsels', but it's out of their territory, which is odd.
