Some snails will crawl out of the tank at night,looking for meal of blood.They'll catch you asleep and bite you.

Tristan get yourself a mini electric fence and put around the top of your tank. Zap 'em and they'll fall right back into the tank.

ive had my tank uncovered for a long time... like 4 months and i didnt see any shells anywhere in my house, so im pretty sure they wont make a run for it... at least for me they didnt
