feeding with grocery store shrimp?

I was thinking about feeding my spiny lobster shrimp from the grocery store. Is this a good idea? should i cook it a little to sterilize it?

well people buy fish and clams from the store and cut them up to make their own food so i believe that is fine.

I wouldn't cook it. Jus make sure that it is unseasoned. I would also feed a variety of food. Clams scalops etc.

You should not cook it. It is fine to feed a variety of raw, unseasoned seafood from the store. That's how I'd make my own frozen cubes.

We feed our chocolate chip starfish, shrimp from Trader Joes all the time! Uncooked, and un-seasoned.

Why? How could they eat a frozen shrimp? It would probably hurt them. Thaw it first.

I would freeze the shrimp then thaw it out before you fed it.

when i said it was fine i meant to feeding it that not to the cooking part. sorry if there was a mix up i really thought i answered that question too but ur covered by every one else.

I don't know about u but i think the spiny lobster is tastier than the atlantic lobster.
