I shot a few pictures to hopefully post and you all could tell me what I am doing wrong. AND WHY ARENT MY PICTURES AS GOOD AS BIFFS!?

but I had my camera set is RAW so the pictures were saved as .NEF files and photobucket wont upload them. how do I change that?

Open them in a photo editor then save as a .jpg

That would be my guess.

I too started with my pics in .raw. I had to convert mine to .jpg using the Nikon software that came with the camera. That proved to be a pain in the butt, so I changed my setting on the camera to "Fine". If you set it to fine, the pics look good, but are in .jpg format so you don't have to do the conversion.
