Filter question

I recently added a filter "sock" over the pipes that dump the water from my DT to the sump below. I have to take the sock out about every 3 days to rinse it out or the water no longer filters threw it. Is this normal?

Yes thats about how often I do mine, sometimes longer, it depends on the stuff in the water too. You can turn them inside out and rinse them really good, then wash them with a little bleach and rinse out really good, they come cleaner that way. You can even run them in the washer (by themselves) and let them air dry.

Yes, normal. I run them on off but i have 6 of them so i can wait and wash all at one time in the washing machine. No detergent, just a little bleach.
