Finally my tank.

So after being a member of the forum since 2006 Its finally time to post some pics of my tank. I just purchased my first two corals. Both leathers. Any tips or suggestions?

They are pretty hardy...they look good. Moderate flow and low to moderate lighting.

cool I think my flow might be a little high at the moment the one is getting blown around a little, I have them towards the bottom of the tank. Whats the grow rate on these guys like?

Very nice! Looks like you got a cabbage leather and a toadstool leather. They grow pretty quickly (as far as corals go)! One of my first corals was a cabbage leather, and I started with a frag the size of a nickel or so. About 4 years later, it's probably 8 inches across.

Lots of indirect flow and moderate lighting.They look really nice and welcome.

They are pretty versatile corals and can take varied conditions. As long as the polyps keep extending then they are happy. The look like they are doing well.

Is it usual for the toad leather to withdraw its polyps after a certain amount of time. say at night and when I just have my blues on?

Yeah,thats pretty common.
Most soft corals will close up at night.
