fire shrimp

I have two Fire Shrimp and both are shy and spend most of their time hiding, behind a rock or in a cave. They will come out if they get hungry. About once a week I will give mine a crab/shrimp stick.

Fire shrimp for the most part are nocturnal. They're also scavengers,so I wouldn't worry too much about him not eating.

If you are really worried, take a couple pieces of mysis in a turkey baster and shoot it in his direction. Otherwise, I agree with everyone else... They are shy and will find stuff to eat on their own, especially if you have other animals in the tank and are feeding them. I had a fire shrimp (Francine) in my 3 gallon pico tank. It seemed to be the perfect size for her -- she was out and about all the time. Then I moved her into my 90 gallon and have only seen her twice in the past year.
