I see alot of people asking about flow rate for their sumps.. Thought this may help
Please correct me if I am wrong but I have found that for best results (from my skimmer ) I need to keep the flow rate to the sump close to the flow rate of the skimmer.. The slower I have it or the faster I have it, I dont get the same results from the skimmer as I do when I keep it right around the skimmer rate... For example the flow rate of my skimmer is about 600gph.. So I have to keep the return rate just around it.. Played with it for several months before I finally said , ok I guess this is where I should keep it..:D
