Frogspawn problems

I was having problems with my alkalinity and now that I have it under control I don't see my frogspawn doi g well. I have pc lighting with four 65 watt 50/50 bulbs which are only 4 months old. Where should I put the frogspawn high or low n the tank. I currently have it in the middle in low flow. I can barely see the polyps coming out. My parameters are:
calcium 500
alk 10dkh
nitrates below 5
ph 8.4
ammonia 0
nitrites 0
mag1400

should I move it or give it more time. I have had my alk under control for About two weeks.

Yes alkalinity can give your frogspawn trouble. I lost a bubble coral due to my not paying attention to water quality.

How fast did you raise the alk? Sudden shifts in water parameters can be just as bad as constant low parameters.

I raised it from from about 6 dkh to 10 in a week.

That really shouldnt have been enough of a change to effect your frogspawn.But some corals are just down right picky.
Any chance that some non-dissolved buffer could have gotten on it? If so,that'll cause them to stay closed up for a few days.

This coral has been closed for over a month but I can still see the flesh.

MAke sure its a loewer flow area.To much flow can rip the flesh and kill the coral.

I have it with very low flow it just gets flow every few minutes like a wave.
