Frustated With New Skimmer

I replaced my Coral Life Skimmer with a Reef Octopus,well it is not doing anything .Not skimming at all.I looked at diagram that came with it and its all hooked up ok.any suggestions?

Do you have the level adjustment tube up to the proper height? I have an Octo 150 and it works great so it's probably just an adjustment.

How long has it been running? They come with kind of an oil that causes them to have a brake in period.

How long has it been running?
New skimmers can take at least 48 hours to start skimming and a good two weeks to skim at full potential.

It's been running about 3 hours,the thing is it's not really pumping a lot of water.Shouldnt it be pumping water in to the skimmer body?.i have the outlet set about the height of the first black cup

Can you get a pic of how you have it setup?

I sent it back yesyerday,pump was not hardly pumping at all,took it apart impeller looked fine no blockages.Just wasnt pumping properly also was making a noise.Might look at the Octopus Exteme 160.
