Fuge question on Chaeto

I bought a decent clump of CHaeto about six months ago that has slowly turned into a small clump of chaeto in my fuge. I notice that the turbo I have in there just goest to town on it. I didn't realize that any of the CUC would eat it. is this normal? Is there something I should do different? Is there a different type of macro that they wont eat that I should put in my fuge?
