glass to acrilic

i have an acrylic tank i want to put a glass brace on.how do i get the glass to stick to tank.do sand the spots.and silicone or acrylic glue.help

Silicone doesnt adhere to acrylic very well. Good enough for baffles in a sump, but I wouldnt trust it as a tank brace. Acrylic glue wouldnt do much since it works by disolving two pieces of acrylic so that when it dries, it actually forms a bond between the two.

If you know the manufacture of the tank, I would suggest checking to see if they have a replacement brace.

well its got 5 dividers and i want to take some out.so that i can fit bigger fish in it.thanks for the info

Get some Acrylic and use it as a brace. It bonds extremely well.
