That's insane! Only $380 for a retrofit = to 650w of MH. Too bad I don't trust LEDs. Seems like there's people who have them work well and others that don't.

I've been considering getting two of the kits from Rapid LED w/20" heat sinks for my 125g. Has anyone used these kits successfully before? And do you think two of the 24 Solderless LED Retrofit Kits would work? I'm planning to start with soft corals at first then begin adding others later on.

LEDs are the most powerful systems used for the grow light purposes. RapidLED.com is the familiar site which is the better solution if you want to opt for a lED. LEDs would definitely serve good as they have many advantages over all other lights like fluorescent and incandescent bulbs.
