Noticed thios growing on a large piece of rock in my tank. It's the white thing in the center. It's sort or crystal-like.

That is clearly what it is! It appears quite healthy. Notice how it's waving in the current, and apparently smiling. (Yes, I have too much time on my hands tonight!)
