Hammer Coral

They are corals of sandbed-if it is a para(branching)ancora it can be ok in the rock work-if it is not it belongs in the sandbed-reason being the flesh will be abraided by the rockwork as it expands-asking for a bacterial infection(brown jelly)
Do you know what species it is? euphyllia ancora or is it a euphyllia para ancora?
forgive my spelling! John.

Waddi has you covered. Place it in the sandbed and let it acclimate to your light. If you want to move it up start after about 3-4 days slowly moving it up and into place.

Unfortunately I can never start my corals on the sandbed because my urchin "Dozer" would carry them away and I would never see it again LOL

I pick a spot I like and glue it down right away. I have lost several ricordias to that silly urchin.
