hi newbie on here be gentle
got to change carbon its black and ive washed it soaked it for a couple of hours but its still black any suggestions

Hello and welcome to the site...lol...you've washed it enough, carbon is supposed to be black. How long has your tank been set-up?

Welcome to the site. And yes, you can never get all the black of carbon. Just rinse it a few times and then put it to use.

Yeah, like they said it only needs to be rinsed once or twice over to get rid of the dust caused from shipping and settling. You will never get the water you are rinsing with to rinse completely clear, just throw it in there.

thanks for the welcome my tank has been set up for a couple of months and i need to change my charcoal and didnt want to turn my nice clean water black kept fish a 15-20 years ago and im a bit rusty so it will be fun got LOADS of reading to do thanks again
