More details? You ay you've been doing this 6 years...has the CuC been dying the entire time?
What kind of filtration, specs, test results, etc....

It was a fowlr had a princess parrot it kept the sand clean just made it reef stoped feeding prolly 4 a week now doing water changes cleanig skimmer every day scrubbing rock scupin out algea. Every thing is zerod 6inch dsb is workin. Chat in the refuge just cant get the sand clean

Might want more flow to keep detritus from settling to the ground and making the sand all gross.

Think i just need to prune the chat more often it doubles in a couple weeks

I am cookin my carbon in the oven to activate it again u think that could not be workin and its leachin phosphates

Diamond Gobys are real good at cleaning the sand.

I also added a Dual Reactor from Bulk Reef Supply with GFO and Carbon and this made a HUGE difference in the amount of algae in my tank.
