K so I had my tank running water for a day. Brought my rock out of the containers they had been circulating in and placed them in the tank. Then I dumped my live sand in the tank and put clarifier in, left for a few hours. Tank is still crazy cloudy and smells like dead ass. Any ideas?

Yep, it's perfectly normal!
The tank may stay cloudy for a couple days. You just have to wait and let things settle. If you have a filter, you can run it to trap particulates, but that won't clear it up too much faster. It smells like dead ass because of the rock. There is some die off on the rock, and it smells terrible.

Yeah. As for the smell, you're just going to have to deal with it. :lol:
If you have carbon, you can run carbon, and that will help with the smell.

Nope, no clarifier is necessary.

My live rock went through the same dead ass cycle. Ended up with clear, clean smelling water in the long run.
