Help

Found this thing swimming in my tank at night just liked to wiggle in the water column all night. I just want to take him out if hes bad, but don't want to take something out that is good. It almost looks like a pipefish, but I have no idea how a pipefish would have gotten in there, any help would be awesome. :question:

The smaller ones can swim. Ever watched mosquito larva swim in stagnet water? Bristle worms can swim in the same mannor.
