Hermit and Shrimp - Eating left over food

I have a whitley boxfish which requires a lot of food. Often he will leave little bits of Mysis which end up behind some rock. I have a peppermint shrimp and 3 baby hermit crabs.
The shrimp and hermits eat left over food, correct?

On another note, the whitley boxfish also defecates often and in large quantities. Would shrimps or hermits take care of that? I wouldn’t blame them if they didn’t

I don't know about the poo...
But they will get the leftovers from the rocks!

They hermits and shrimp will also much the pooh . . . at least mine seem to like the seahorse poop.

That fish is a little big for that sized tank, and with such a messy fish i think you might see some algae problem because of the poop and leftovers.
