I'm brand new to saltwater and have a question about ph. My water comes out of my ro/di filter at 9.21 so what can I do to lower it? I have nothing in the tank yet except sand and rock.

WOW. Are you sure you test kits is not messed up? Most of the time the water is much closer to 7.0 give or take. Dropping PH from what I've tried can be a real nightmare.

What does your pH test at after adding the salt mix?

I have not added the salt yet and the test is a reefkeeper probe that I just hooked up and calibrated

I would test it with the salt mix in there, it may lower it. Also, if it were me I'd have a non-electric way of testing my water, like a refractometer JIC and double check your results with that.
