That is really odd? Is it free swimming or attached, is it hard or squishy? Does it react when you touch it?

It looks something like a couple of my ball anemones that have stuck themselves to the glass.

I failed Kobayashi Maru
I don't think they're bad, but I think some sting, but I'm not sure. Mine spread pretty quickly, though, I must say. But my tank is fowlr, except for some mushrooms. They don't seem bothered....yet.
