reef octopus makes a great skimmer

yes it does, but after having it a few months , im not saying im not happy with it (because it skims like a champ) but i would go with the aqua c remora, the slim skim doesnt do well at surface skimming as its designed to do, this seems to be the main problem i have found on the web about it.
maybe its the power of the pump itself which with the remora you can change it and get the surface skimmer box

I use an Eshopps 75 and it's great. Started producing skimmate after 12 hours, no microbubbles in the tank after it breaks in (takes 4 days or so, some take weeks or longer). Easy to remove cup and simple. I highly recommend it, I'm buying another one for my QT system.
