Just finished doing a water change and found this little blue thing floating around the tank. Any idea what it is and is it good or bad?

looks like a sponge to me. And those are good.

Should I just let it float around or try and put him on a rock...in the sand?

If it has been exposed to air, then it won't survive anyways, so it's as good as gone. You probably have tons more in your tank -- they are pretty common.

It apparent that sponge was free loading and up to no good,by the fact that it was snooping around the tank.
LB had no way of know what that sponge was up to,so did what he (LB) had to,to protect his tank,home,and family.:D
