how long do you quarentine your new fish?

i look at it this way why would i want to even take the chance of killing hundreds of dollars of fish just because i did not take prevenative measures. i would rather loose one fish in QT rather than take the chance of it bringing something into the thank that could kill all of my fish

QT is really only effective if the fish are treated somehow, not displaying any symptoms over a month or two isn't really sufficient evidence no disease or parasite exists.

+1,also ,why not QT and treat.Its not hard to do.Plus,i think QTing new fish just gives them a chance to get settled after shipping,and lets them get food with no competition for a few weeks.
