To grow a full 1" in diameter, I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Are you talking about caps or plating montis, or the encrusting variety?
My caps have grown from 1" pieces to over 5-6" across in a year and a half. I'd say 1/4-1/2" per month was the fastest they grew.

I have found little information on averhe growth rate under certain lighting and wanted to see what everyone on here uses and how long it take for them to grow a full inch
