How Much Chaeto??

I have a 10 gallon sump so my refugium section is not that big. I didn't know how big to let my chaeto grow. I noticed that it has grown so fast that its almost to the sand bed in about 2 months. Does the sand bed need some light thru the Chaeto to have the right nutrients for our little bugs to survive. I can take a picture later to help.

most trim it back after it gets too big. You can trim some and toss it, or better yet sell it to your LFS or donate it to someone who needs some.
