I have horn snails breeding in my tank the original population consisted of 10 adults. now there are ~30 babies of many sizes. i had noticed the eggs first about 2 months ago but only noticed my first baby about a month ago. has any one ever had this happen? i'm curious how common it is

It's not unusual for snails to breed, especially if they don't have any predators to eat them. Do you have anything in the tank that will eat them?

hermits maybe. if some get eaten then thats fine. i was just curious how common it is to have them breed and actually produce babies.

Welcome to the site, Saloli, I used to keep my boat in your neck of the woods in Sue Creek. Now I have the water (Aquarium) at my house and saves me a hour trip from Hanover, Pa. Good deal on the snails. My triggerfish decided that no snail needs to go uneatten.
