ID on a snail...?

Another one I forgot the name of:

It looks like Snuffalufaguss in a shell. I bought three of them.

What do you think?
 
In any case, it's some sort of conch. I LOVE those things, your description of Snuffalupagus in a shell is spot on. I've seen one of mine climb the rocks and appear to come completely out of its shell -- they are so cool looking.
 
My kids like to look for the conchs eyes sticking up outta the sand.Their probably one of the best inverts you can have.
 
Agreed. It's a conch. I have had two of them in my 30 for almost a year now and love them. They hurt nothing and help clean the tank.
 
Mine have grown sooooo fast. You can tell how much they've grown since I put them in my tank because their shell pattern changed. When I bought them, their shells were plain, solid brown. Any new shell that has grown since I've had them has been white and black speckled, and there's a distinct line where that new growth started. It's pretty cool.
