Is Liquid Nails a safe substitute for silicone?

I have a small piece I need to seal and I dont have any more silicone and dont want to drive to the store. Can I use liquid nail instead?

i dont thing that will work very well because it may leach out chemicals from it. i would stick with silicone

what about acrylic latex caulk? Polyeurathane?
It turns out I am well stocked on everything but silicone...

I wouldn't take the chance on either of those.
What are you trying to seal? Super Glue gel is safe if it's a small hole or something.

Just got back from the store with silicone. not worth risking it!
