Ok I'm just wondering is there a computer/system out there that would atomatically test for all the regular parameters that are needed to assure optimal water quality??

What is it called and what are the brands out there and what is preferred in the hobby???

Pinpoint makes quite a few testers for different water parameters, but they cost $150-$260 EACH!!

Using Neptune's AquaControllers, that cost another couple (to few) hundred dollars, you can have it hook up to multiple of those test probe as well. Money talks. :)

Are they? I'm using the pH and the ORP and they are great. I just have them on all the time. Since I'm on vacation, I have them moved to the front of the tank so that I can see the readings from my webcam remotely. Not that I can do anything about it since I'm away...

I had to replace my calcium probe after using it for just one month. I also don't like having to calibrate every time I use it, as they recommend. I have a remote temperature one which I do like.

ouch! calibrate it every time? Did you try to see how much different before and after the calibration? I really doubt if that is really nessessary. If the differences are in the low 10s, I would just calibrate it very much less often.
