Is there such a thing as " to big of sump"?

I'm wanting to replace my storage tote sump that I now have and make one with chambers. I have a 90gl. reef tank and right now my sump is about 20gl. I found a great deal on 50gl tank that will fit in my stand. Just want to know if there is something I'm missing before I purchase this? Anyone have any thoughts?

As long as it fits in the stand and doesnt leak, go for it
