I've identified my coral...

It's a montepora.

I have it in the most lighted spot in my tank, I hope it lives!

Who identified it? The polyps do not look to have the proper shape to be a montipora.sp. Can you take a better, less blurry pic?
Someone mentioned in the other thread you posted that it looks like pavona.sp. I agree with that.

Here's another shot, guy at LFS says its a monti. This one looked very different from it's siblings, they were flat and some were brown.

I went thru so many pics trying to identify it and none of the montis look anything like it. My closest guess would be capricornus but i have no real clue...

Like I said, Pavona ;)
Pavonas are fairly hardy and are slower growers than montipora, but color up nicely under halides from my experience. Montis just don't have those elongated bumps or hairs IMO, and also Pavona tends to grow out into a potato chip shape.

Yep. Dunno how Oscarsdad got credit....lol. I mentioned, and agreed with pavona.sp, and then he just posted a link to a pic. ;) He even thought it was a softie in the original thread.
Score one for Jag. :)
