Ok, after a week of total blackout and 10% water changes every two days I am happy to report that the dinoflagellate patches are gone.
It is too early to tell if they are completely gone or if they are just recuperating, but I will make sure to perform another blackout if I see any hint of dinos in the tank.
Some photo updates.
The LEDs are back down to 15% to make sure the corals are eased back into lights.
This sarcophyton did not seem to miss a beat.
This other sarcophyton is slowly adjusting.
Duncan and palythoa seem to be doing fine.
This palythoa colony however, looks like a wet feral dog after the blackout.
Another palythoa colony looking good.
Chalice. I moved this to the top because the lights are set down to 15%.
Pocillopora slowly recovering. The bottom portion lost the green color. I hope it colors up again once it receives proper lighting.
Gorgonian with full polyp extension and no cyano/dino sludge coating.
I am crossing my fingers that the dino's do not make a comeback.

I just want to put a note here that this reef tank has been retired and repurposed as a frag tank in the garage.
