got this cool little 8g. with built in lights. want to try to do reef tank with it.the problem is the lights, it only takes gu-4 halogen 2x10 w 12v. are they good enough for coral?

I dont think they make bulbs for that fixture that would put out the wavelengths corals need to grow and live.

Sorry. that is why reef lighting is so expensive, its a pretty specialized product

yes it seems that way. the tanks small enough to retro it just rather not if i can.
