Depends on what the additive is,and why its being used.
I do use some the Kent coral foods about once a month,and use to use the liquid calcium when I use I.O. salt.
But dont add anything but food for the critters now.

I used alot of Kent Marine stuff because its readily available.I keep calcium,iodine,strotium and molybenum(sp?),magnesium on hand but rarely dose for anything.Make sure you test first before adding anything.I also use there coral/invert food like phytoplex and zooplex on occasions.

I think they are good products also.Trace elements additives aren't really necessary as long as your doing regular water changes.

I find their product to be great for the price and availability. I also like the Red Sea for the same reasons.
