Kenya Trees

What are Kenya trees, or more specifically, what do they look like.
Also - we bought some stony coral (see pic). We can't remember the name.
Anyway, we don't know if we should take it off its plug, or how to extract it from the plug.

a kenya tree is a weed, its grows like one atleast, its a soft coral. that coral looks like either a styolopora or a prociallporo (sp) and you should just leave it on the plug

also since its an SPS you need very strong lighting, but i dont think your tank is stable enough or mature enough to successfully house SPS corals although it can be done itll be very hard

Is that aiptesia in the background? If so, just throw in a couple of peppermint shrimps to get rid of them.

It looks like xenia in the background to me.

You are supposed to leave the coral on the plug. You can shove the plug into cracks or holes in your rocks, or use some epoxy putty to stick it in place.

The arms are too long and feathered to be aiptasia!! I'm in the xenia camp.

I'm going to have to say Aiptasia as well. (just my 2 cents) But then again I'm the retard having the most difficult time with mass confusion on how to plumb my new sump properly.
