I was wondering how long to leave a coral in one spot to see if it is happy before moving it to another spot. Feel like I am not waiting long enough. kind of new to corals and don't want to kill it. Have a Hammer coral that is retracted and has not really opened up after about three days.

    Welcome to the forum! :)

Hopefully someone here will be able to help, but a bit more information would probably be useful. How was the tank doing before you added the coral? How are the water parameters?

The tank is new and just finished cycling. water parameters running perfect. just really having trouble figuring out the light and flow issue. I am probably bad about moving them to much and not letting them get truly use to where they are.

If it were me I'd leave it a bit longer and see how it does - three days isn't very long at all.
