lighting suggestions

ok so we are going to start purchasing some of the supplies for our tank and one of the first things is lighting. Our tank is going to be 150 gallons 48x24 and 30" deep. I want some suggestions on t5 vs MH and how much light the tank will need for mostly coral. I would also if you can appreciate some pricing considerations if you have them. This is most greatly appreciated!!!

I would recommend using a combination of MH and T5 lighting.

what kind of combination? Do you have examples of the types of lights and perhaps examples of where I may acquire or look at them?

What type of corals do you plan on keeping? If you plan on SPS corals in a tank that's 30" deep, you should go with 400w MH and you wouldn't have to worry about what corals you can keep or where to place them.
A fixture like this would work fine.

I have that same tank and I have an Aquatinics Constellation T5 fixture. While my tank is fairly new (7months) and I'm slow about adding things, but the few corals I have in the tank are doing great. If you go T5 you'll want to make sure you get something with individual reflectors and that's what the Constellation fixture has.
