Reefing newb
Okay, I'm going to concentrate on one item at a time. It looks like the lights might be one of the biggest piece to begin with. Alright, 100gal tank,Like to be able to have a reef tank. Okay is this Too Big, Just Right, or Too Small. Let me here it, It also has a 250 MH, or 400MH option. I need help.

With a MH bulb, the light is going to extend about 1 foot on either side, so for a 100 gallon tank, you are going to need more than 1 bulb for the span of the tank, or it will be dark everywhere but the center.

How long is your tank?

Oops I guess the picture confused me. It looks like there is only 1 bulb in the picture. If it has 2 bulbs, that will be fine for your tank. The 175 watt bulbs should be fine.

I agree with Sarah. However, if that's the price ($839.95) for that fixture and you are willing to spend that much on lighting, I would look into LED's.

I own the 72" version of that light. The light works nicely...But the ballasts and fans are loud. I bought mine used, I wouldn't buy it again.

I'd recommend looking for a different brand.
