Lion fish feeding

Is it ok to feed my lion fish a fresh water minow or gold fish? Ive heard its good for them some and Ive also heard the fresh water is bad for them. Thoughts?

No, its bad for them. They dont have the right fats and proteins for a saltwater fish to live off of. Plus if you start feeding them live fish, they will learn to eat live fish which means all the other fish in your tank arent going to tank mates anymore, they are going to be lunch.

+1 Hannah. If it's eating frozen, flake or pellet food, count your blessings. Feeding them live feeder fish can start a bad habit. They may only eat live fish from now on, and turn down the other foods you feed, or they can go after the other fish in your tank.
