where can i get cheap live rock or what is the cheapest way to set up new rock in my tank?

Check craig's list for people getting out of the hobby. They usually sell it at a great price. Also any local clubs in your area?

Go to your local rock yard and ask for the tufa rock. Its very porus and and helps buffer as well. Just be sure to rinse the heck out of it. My rock yard sells it for 50 cent a pound.

Look for a local online sw group. We have one and there is a classifieds section on the website. You can get great deals and get LR that has been cured and already growing all your good stuff on it. I have gotten some of my best pieces from my online group for $1.99/lb I also used Texas Holey rock as a base which is only $1.99/lb. Cheaper than getting the LR at the my LFS for $4.99-$6.99/lb
