live sand help

I am setting up a reef tank. I have the water, filter, skimmer, etc. in the tank.
I put the live sand in thinking that I was going to get live rock soon. Will be mabe a week or two. The filter is running. Is there anything I should do till I get the live rock ( food for sand,new sand, ok to wait).
