So my sump started leaking again I've set out to finish the job, correctly this time.

I bought the same items that I'm replacing, but this time I bought some rubber and made my own gaskets. I've had it in the tub for about 1.5hrs and I see no signs of leaking. Just wanted some others opinions. Anything else I should do??? maybe some silicone?

if you have it sitting there there with no leaks you should be fine. silicone around the gasket with at thin bead will not be bad but it should work wither way if its not leaking.
