I'm about ready to devote my tank to a niger trigger but is there anything I can keep in there to clean the bottom that he won't eat?

A diamond goby might be a goner too.Sorry,I have no experience with a Niger.Any small fish, snails and crustaceans will be at risk.I once had an Undulated and it ate everything.I eventually had to get rid of it because the rocks were always getting knocked around and I couldn't keep them cleaned. Then again Undulated triggers are super aggressive and Nigers are more mild mannered.

Niger triggers are one of the most reef safe-ish species of trigger. I have a pink tail trigger that doesn't bother any of my inverts or small fish. I think if you buy a smallish sized trigger, there's a good chance that a cleaner crew would be safe with it. Introduce any snails, shrimps and crabs first, then the trigger last.
